Llovd George has appointed an Imperial 'Shipping Committee to inquire into the whole question of shipping communications between the different parts of the Empire, with a view to their improvement. Mr. H. J. Mackinder, M.P., will he chairman, and all the Dominion Governments have nominated their own representatives. 1 New Zealand is represented by the High Com-missioner.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
