1 THE RUGBY GAME. Saturday competition was continued on Saturday. Following are the results of the play;— SATURDAY COMPETITION . SENIOR. RAHOTU (8) v. One of Rahotu's tries was converted. Mr. Voullaire was referee. CLIFTON (23) v. STAR (0). 1 At Waitara, Clifton defeated Star by 23 ■ DtHnts to nil. Mr. P. Page was referee. TUKAPA v. OLD BOYS. The above match was to have taken place . on Western Park on Saturday, but owing I to the short notice given, both clubs were "noble to put u team in the field, and the match was postponed. , THIRD GRADE. I Star beat Rahotu tit New Plymouth by 17 to nil. i n 0 f n3 t Banie star had all the better of the play. Tries were scored by Hurley, McKenzle, and Uncles, the latter's try being converted by Jenkins, who also kicked two penalty goals. Mr. Walls was referee. At Western Park, Tukapa defeated High School Bby 9 points to 3. ■ Tries were scored by Malcolmson, Lepine, and J\ Barrlball, and Waterson scored for School. All the kicks at goal failed. Mr. F. Eggleton refereed. FOURTH GRADE. Star beat High School D by 6 points to nil. The score was made up by a penalty goal by Morris, and a try by Webb. Mr. Ryder refereed. SOUTHERN DIVISION. The match between Hawed and Kaponga Which was played at Kaponga on Saturday resulted In a draw, each side scoring three points. THE SENIOR FIXTURES. Owing to the withdrawal of United from the second round of the senior competition. It has been necessary to rc-draw the fixtures As Four of the clubs have already played one match in the round, those clubs will have byes on the days they would otherwise have been drawn to play.
