NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. BREWSTER CUP FINAL. Tlie final for the Brewster Cup was played on the New Plymouth Club's links yesterday afternoon, Sirs. Nicholson beat Mrs. Johns by 2 -up and 1. Both players received a handicap of 19, so that they played on level terms. The game was closely contested, and some good play was witnessed. Mrs. Nicholson did the round In 10#, and Mrs. Johns was four strokes more. This Is the first season the cup has been played for, It having been presented to the club this year by 'the ladles' captain (Miss Brewster), and It trill be held by Mrs. Nicholson for a year.
