THE PRINCE.
REACHES SYDNEY TO-DAY.
BRILLIANT SPECTACLE PROMISED.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copjrlgfit, •4; Received June 15, 8/15 p.m. Sydsey, June 15. The Renown is timed to enter the Heads at nine o'clock to-morrow morning, and the official landing at Farm Cove is fixed for eleven o'olook. The Royal progress through the streets to Government House starts half-an-hour later
Bright weather enabled hundreds of men, working feverishly, to repair the damage done by rain and put the final touches to the decorations. Inter-State and country visitors have been pouring in by train loads for some days, and these to-day have been taking the opportunity to view the long route before the crush renders it impossible to traverse the route, which from end to end is a brilliant spectacle of waving bunting, greenery, arches, devices, and mottoes.
Every precaution will be taken to restrain the crowds and prevent a recurrence of the over-enthusiasm which interfered with the proceedings in Victoria. The public has been asked to refrain from untoward demonstrations, rushes, and the throwing of confetti and Bowers, and to assist the big bodies of police and troops .in their duties of seeing that the programme is carried out in an orderly manner.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
