SYDNEY MEAT FAMINE.
A RESULT OF THE DROUGHT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright, Received June 15, 8.15 p.m. Sydney, June 15. For many months the Home bush market has been overcrowded with stock from the drought stricken areas, and amongst other offerings were many thousands of breeding ewes and young wethers which sold at sacrificing prices. With the coming of the rain, Ijowever, the position has completely altered, and there is a great demand for restocking purposes. This has caused prices to rocket, and a largely depleted market for the mutton supply. In a lesser degree the cattle market has been similarly affected.—Aus.-tf.Z. Cable Assn.
