PROFITEERING ALLEGED.
FIRST NEW PLYMOUTH CASE. It lms been known that for some weeks the Board of Trade lias been watching Taranaki, as well as other parts of the Dominion, for cases where it is believed profiteering exists, and the first action to be taken in New Plymouth will come up at the Magistrate's Court to-morrow. A local dairyman will appear at the Court and will be charged .with selling two quarts of milk at 8d a quart, which will be held to be an unreasonably high price within the meaning of the Board of Trade Act. The present ruling price is 7d a quart.
