THE PRICE OF GOLO. By Telegraph.—rress Association. Wellington, June 12. The High Commlaisoner advises in a cablegram dated ilie 9th inst, that the official price of gold to-day is £5 5s 3d per ounce. It is n- available for shipment, L'MDON WOOL SALES. tlved June 13, 5.5 p.m. London, June 11. P and o . shares, £440 to £460. The wool sales closed flat. Ninety-two thousand bales were catalogued, and about forty thousand were withdrawn compared with May. Best combing merinos declined 20 per cent, Continental sorts and scoureds ten, faulty carbonising recovered slightly during the sales to ten; crossbreds Improved gradually and closed at ten down; medium five; siipes and scoured in fair demand, but largely withdrawn at the Government reserves Lambs declined live to ten.—Aus.-N.Z.
