EVERYBODY'S. "RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE." MATINEE AT 2 P.M. TO-DAY. William Famum undoubtedly lias one of the strongest parts of hi 3 career as Lassiter in the great screen triumph, "Riders of the Purple Sage," which is' being shown this afternoon and to-night for the last two occasions at Everybody's. The picture shows the hunt of the hero of Zane Grey's famous novel for the Mormon elder who had abducted his sister, and admirers of the screen's greatest star who have seen the picture have been thrilled' with the manner in which he accomplishes his revenge. Seats may be reserved at Collier's for the evening session.
THE PEOPLE'S. THE WOLF TO-NIGHT. \ The fiercest play of the backwoods ever written, pet amid the Canadian forests at midwinter, "The Wolf," starring Earle Williams, commences tonight at the People's. "When a wolf howls alone in midwinter, someone must die." This is a superstitution- of the backwoods and is used in Vitagraph's fine picture entitled "The Wolf," with striking effc'l. Jules and Baptiste had bid Anne "au revoir" as they departed into the wilds to set their 'trap*. The former was her brother, the latter her lover. When they returned they found a mound on the mountain. It was her grave. And so Jules and Baptiste started on a man hunt. They swore to meet out terrible vengeance upon the beast who caused their loved one's death. They swore to hunt the wide world over if necessary until thoir mission was accomplished. And ihev wantered to the cabin of Andrew MacTavisli. The Scotchman's daughter, Hilda, had long fascinated Jules. Thrilling film adaptation of Eugene Walter's famous play of the Hudson Bay country. Virile story of primal passions in bleak NorthWflstern Canada, with a red-blooded hero capably portrayed by Earle Williams. The bill includes Baby Osborne in "Dolly's Vacation," which is the matinee feature to-day at 2 p.m.
