BURNSIDE STOCK SALE. Bj Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, , Dunedln, June 9. There were large entries of stock in all departments at Bufnslde to-day, and the prices realised were well up to last Quotations, specially in the case of pigs. Fat Cattle.—The yarding consisted of 181 head, the quality being fair. The sale opened at on advance of 20s to 25s per head on last week's rates, but towards the finish prices eased back fully 20s a head. Prime bullocks made from £l9 to £22 10s, extra prime to £2O 10s, medium £ls to £l7 10s, light from £l2, prime heifers £lB 12s 6(1. medium cows and heifers £l2 to £l4 10s, light from £8 10s. Store Cattle.—There was a large yarding, and alt lines showing breeding and in forward condition were sold at prices on a par with the rdtes ruling last week, while for young and inferior cattle competition was not very brisk.

Slieep.-r-A large yarding of fair quality, numbering 2419 head. A number of pens contained well-grown sheep in eood condition. Tiio demand was brisk, ajtd prices were a Shade flrmer on last week's Improved rates. Prime wethers sold at from 47s 6d to 57s 6d, medium 39s to 465, light and unflnlshed kinds from 30s upwards. Extra prime heavyweight ewes sold up to 55s 6d, prime 40s to 47; fld, medium. 33s to 38s, light and aged from 34s upwards,' Fpit Jiawbs.—a large yarding of medium quality. The number offered for sale was 1567 head. AH lines suitable for freezing purposes were disposed of at prices equal to last week's rates, while for Inferior lambs slightly reduced values had to he accepted. Prices Tanged from 17s 6d to 85s 3d a head.

Pigs,—A small yarding, and as a. much larger number could have been disposed of higher prices to the extent of from 7s Cd to 10s a nead were obtained. Best baconers realised from lOd to lid per lb, and best porkers from 10% d' to ll%d per lb.

English butter plentiful and selling steadily at average price of 2s lQttd per lb. Irish supplies increasing, and demand is good; creamery £l4 14s 8d per cwt. Cheese.-—Supplies Increasing, with fair inquiry for English at Is 7d and Is 3d. Canadian (market is easier; current quotations, c.1.f,, S8 Is, £8 3s, but price Is considered too high fpr trade buying. New Zealand stock, June 4, 2083 crates, as against 43,126 at this time last year. Wool, Sales.—Cro»storeds| seltjng Slowly. Government limit is too high in many cases for New Zealand crossbreds, and large proportion withdrawn, aB buyers can purchase similar description free Argentine at relatively lower prices. Honey.—Demapd Is Increasing. Prices firmer at this week's public sale. New Zealand sold B grade, 95s per cwt., C grade, 85s. Hemp.—Manila market dull and declining. J grade, February-April to April-June shipments now quated at £6l; July-September shipment sold £64 ss. New Zealand market dull. No change In prices except high points spot, now quoted at £6B.
