Sportsmen will wish him every success In his new business, While on the question of judging horse races it might be mentioned that Mr. Horo Koranti, who did the judging at Otakl last week had some of his decisions questioned, while in the Cup he had three guesses before lie placed the winner correctly. The finish was not so close that a judge should have got "bustled," but this is what really happened to Horo. Some sporting readers are puzzled over the order of favoritism mix-up that Is going on at present, one paper publishing thb figures while another omits them. The explanation is that while it is not an offenco to publish figures denoting order of favoritism it is alleged to be contrary to the telegraph regulations to wire them to a newspaper, It Is just another sntmple, and a particularly ridiculous one, of the laws that the kill-Joys have caused to be placed on the Statute Book in New Zealand.
