General Ravenhny> - , general officer commanding in South Africa, died from heart failure while elephant hunting in the Addo bush. The general was found to be missing from a rebooting party, and a search discovered the body in the bush. Later details of the death of General Ravenahaw show that a party were visiting the camp of Major Prctorius, the renowned elephant hunter. They went for a walk armed, but not intending to shoot, and iinej-pectedly encountered a herd of elephants. The others outstripped General Ravenshaw, who was found to be missing when the party returned. Native trackers, after a long search, discovered General Ravenshaw's body in a tangled bush, face downward," still grasping his rifle.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
