icUBGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. < B»-W*fl»I>h —Pnn AuodaUon. Auckland, Last Night. The attempted murder of a Maori seaman, named Jack Murphy, at DargaviHe> «m February 22, was alleged against two brothers!, Walter Ross and Sydney Rom, in the Supreme Court today. Therw were alternative charges of bavin* done bodily harm to Murphy, and <it having caused each bodily barm to hint that bad "he died as the result they would have been guilty of manslaughter. It feu alleged that Murphy was attacked by accused and thrown from the wharf into the harbor. The Jury found accused not guilty of attempted murder, but guilty on the ieeond and third counts. Both the accused *ere sent to gaol for two years with lard labor.
