The split cabled yesterday resulted in a rapprochement between the Northern and Canton Governments- i»he Peace Conference is expected to open immediately. Mr. Colby, Secretary of State for the United States Government, verbally apologised to Sir Auckland Goddeii for the burning of the British flag by the Irish women Sinn Feiners recently When the circumstances have been fully investigated a formal apology will bo tendered.
