Received June 8, 9.25 p.m. Sydney, June 8Captain Regan, of the steamer Whahgape, on arrival at Newcastle, stated he was asked for assistance by the Havre, but as he himself was short of coal owing to a delayed passage caused by heavy weather, he could not render her any help.
