The Chicago correspondent of the New York Times says De Valera and Walsh have finished a tentative draft of a plank which they will ask the committee on resolutions to incorporate in the Republican platform. The understanding among leaders is that in the event of the committee refusing to adopt the draft they will ask that a plank expressing Bympathy with the Irish people be incorporated.—Aus.-N.Z. LOAN CAMPAIGN IN AUSTRALIA. A VISIT BY ARCHBISHOP MANNIX. „ Received June 8, 8.55 p.m. London, June 7. Sinn Fein circles in London informed the Australian Press Association that it was'unlikely De Valera would attempt to visit Australia as rumored. It was more likely De Valera would consult Archbishop Mannix at San Francisco, and probably Archbishop Mannix would be authorised to conduct a loan campaign in Australia. Possibly De Valera Would agaompany Archbishop Mannix to Rome.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ATTACK ON POLICE. London, June 5. A party of men attacked four policemen at Cullyhana, Arnagh.
