MILD SMALLPOX.
CASES IN THE SOUTH. INFECTION PROM DUNEDIN. By To]3gTaph.—rress Association. Invercargill. Last Night. Another case of nariola varicella, or mild smallpox, was reported to-day, the sufferer being a patient in the hospital, who was admitted from Winton ten days ago owing to another complaint, and who has since developed smallpox. The health officer visited Winton today, and made arrangements For the vaccination of school children and the general public. \ A suspected case in Invercarjjill w« removed to the Kew infectious diseases hospital to-day for observation. There are now 20 oases in the institution, all of a mild type. A malignant form of the disease is so far confined to Dunedin, whence the lowil infection has been definitely traced. The rush for vaccination has exhausted the supplies of lymph.
