! THREE MEN CONVICTED. t»y Telegraph.—Press Association Invercargill, Last Night. After the trial of William Joseph Lyons, William Holland, and William Edward Duthie, on various charges arising out of the theft of a large quantity of petrol from bulk stores occupied by J. G. Ward and Co. and Briscoe and Co., had proceeded throughout the forenoon at the Supreme Court, counsel for accused withdrew the plea of not guilty, and they pleaded guilty, Duthie and Lyons to theft and Holland to breaking and entering. Mr. Justice Sim sentenced each of the accused to reformative detention for a period not exceeding three years.
