BETTER CONDITIONS FOR RIDERS. By Telegraph,—Press Association.. Wellington, May 29It is understood that a meeting arranged between representatives of most of the leading jockeys of the Dominion who resigned from the Jockeys' Union, and Sir Geo. Clifford, president of the Racing Conference, was held to-day, with the result that certain amendments to the rules of racing will be laid before the Racing Conference for consideration, and that certain other suggestions were made to be laid before racing clubs regarding convenience. l ? to he afforded to jockeys in pursuit of their profession. It is stated that the result of the meeting was entirely satisfactory to all present.
