An enthusiastic meeting was held in the Parish Hall on Monday evening to form an association for the betterment of the boys and girls cf the Stratford district. An executive committee was elected as follows: President, Rev. Howard; vice-presidents, Revs. Neal and McKenzie; Mesdames Phillips and Sturm, Messrs. Melnness, Middleton, Pcttigrew, Sturm, Alger (lion. sec). AH children from 10 years of age, and their parents, are heartily invited to attend the first meeting on Monday next. The following donations to the Stratford Hospital are , acknowledged with thanks: Kggs and cream, Mrs. Marfcll, Toko; pork, Mrs. Wiggins, Ngaere; vegetables, Mrs. Hancock, Mountain Road, Mrs- Fairs, Stratford. Mr. R, Masters, M.P., accompanied hy Mrs. R. Masters, will leave Stratford on Friday morning for a short holiday in the South Island.
