Old Mungindi. and First L'ne next, in order. . At the three furlongs Luke vent to the front, and led into the straight from First Line. Maraetotara, Old Munc'ndi. and' Wirokino. Luke going on to beat FiTst Lino comfortably by a coup!* of lengths, with Old Mmiffiw* 1 . five lengths further off. I'ust iu front of Maraetotara. Then came Wirokino .nul Polthrgue well back, with Khartoum still further away. All saddled up in the Rata Hack Hurdles. Master Boris carrying well over filflOft, or nearly tw ! ce as much, as Paddington G'-een. 'Cello, and Cold Soult. At the start Pnddington Green was badly left, while Gold Soult took no part in the race. The favorite led into the straight from Rienzl. B<inogue. 'Collo, and Combustion. Banogue moving up into second position down the back, with Paddington Green and Kienzi following. Coming round tho turn Into the straght the last timie Master Boris held a slight advantage over Paddington Green and Itaiiogue, and these were the place-getters, Paddlngtoh Green 1
beating Master Boris from the last fetich to win, with ? lot in hand, by -three lengths with Banogue five lengths away third. Then came Rienzl, Combustion, and 'Cello in thai order, | Coldstream was a warm favorite for the j May Hurdles, Lord Nagar, Yankee Jack, Zeus and Zola being the best backed of the others. Zeus led Yankee Jack, Want, Zola, und Lord Nagar from the start, Coldstream beiny last. Into the straight Lord Nagar held coaimand from Zeus, Yankee Jack, Zulu, Coldstream, and Want, and going along the back Zola, Lord Nagar, and Yankee Jack were out together, Yankee Jack leading Lord Nagar over the last hurdle and appeared to hato the race won. but, stopping badly over the last bit. Lord Nagar won by half a length, with Zola four lengths further off and the favorite was fourth, and Want next. Depredation was withdrawn from the Umpire Handicap, leaving nine runners. Rude, was ihe biggest favorite of the day, parrying over fifteen hundred tickets, but there was also money foi Marqiieteur, Punka, and Maioha. It was a good start, Miss Cold leading the field out .of the straight, the order being Perfect Day, Maioha, Omahu, Rude, and Detroit. Perfect Day ran into second place at the five furlongs post, soon to see Miss Cold drop hack beaten. Maioha leading the bunch. At the straight entrance the order was Detroit, Muiohti, I'unka, Miss Cold and Rude, the last, named being brought up on the outside, and, with Punka and Detroit, fought out. the finish, Rude winning by a nose from Punka, with Detroit a long neck away. Maioha and Marqueteur were next. The last, race was run in a bad light. There was big money on hand for Slt Fanciful, CruceUe, and Passin' Through. Gay Lady went galloping a couplo of miles before the race, and was left. Cruceile was first away, leading Marble Bar and Princess Marion, the latter going to the front at tho half mile. Turning into the straight Timidity and Miss Love were ahead of Passin' Through and Some Fashion. A good finish saw Passin' Through beat Some Fashion by half a length, with Miss Love three lengths away. Then came Timidity and Farce. AUCKLAND WEIGHTS.
