PREPARING FOR SPA. THE ITALIAN DIFFICULTY. By Xslegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 14, 9.5 p.m. London,. April 13. The Australian Press Association understands M. MiHerand (Premier of France) will arrive in England to-mor-row to discuss reports from Germany from the commissions investigating the execution of the Treaty in reference to reparations and the disposal of munitions; also to discuss war criminals.
It is hoped the Anglo-French will reach an agreement before the meeting with the Germans at Spa, and avoid a repetition of the recent unfortunate differences.
The downfall of Signor Nitti (Premier of Italy) occurred inopportunely, at a. 1 moment when Fiume seemed on the point iof settlement. M. Trumbitch and other [ Jugo-Slavs were en route to meet the Italians at Pallanza when the Nitti Government fell, but M. Trumbitch decided to wait at Pallanza pending the formation of a new Government— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
