NEWTON KING'S REPORT. At Douglas, on 3rd Inst., a good yaTdlng of sheep and cattle was offered to a good attendance of buyers. Practically the whole yarding was disposed of at present market rates. Quotations: Mixed aged wethers 26s 3d to SOs, 4 imd 6-tooth ditto 325, fm. owes (In lamb) 19ii to 24s 6d, lambs 12s 6d, light store cows £3 to £4, heavier sorts £7 10s to £8 ss, 20month steers £4 16s to £SO, 20-month emptv heifers £4 12s 6d, bulls £0 2s 6d to £8 ss, two lares lines of 2-tooth wethers and 4-year old ewes sold in conjunction with the L. and M. Co. on account of W. H. Perry, Esq. made 29s Bd. and from 26s 4d to 20s 6d, respectively, 2 to 3-year dairy heifers sold on account same vendor made from £9 to £lO 10s, better classes of Jersey ditto imaklnK £l3 10s to £l9 ss.

At Stratford on 4th Inst., a good yarding of all classes came forward and a satisfactory clearance made. The cattle market remained unchanged, whilst sheep were In little or no demand. Light store cows £4 IDs to £5 10s, good framed conditioned sorts £7 17s 6d to £8 15s, fat heifers £8 15s, mixed 2-year incalf heifers £7 15s, Jersey cross do. £l4 10s, dairy cows £l3 to £l6 10s. 20-month steers £4 2s 6d, choice Jersey weaner heifers £7 8s 6d, Jersey cross do. £4 7s to £4 15s mixed heifers £2 to £3 10s, weaner steers 30s to £2 ss.

At. Inglewood on sth Inst., I report & full yarding of stock, which was offered to a good attendanco of buyers. The market showed a much Improved tone throughout, both sheep and cattle .'selling readily. Practically the whole of. the yarding changed hands at the hammer Sheep: Empty mixed aged ewes 17s 10d. rail lambs 8s to lis, woolly lambs 19s 4d, 2-tooth wethers 29s 6d, 2-tooth ewes 275, f.m. ewes 123 to 14s. Cattle: Yearling Jersoy heifers £7, weaner Jersey cross do. £3 13s 6d to £5 ss, Holsteln do. £3 6s, Shorthorn do £3 2s, mixed heifers Sss to £2 13s 6<l, weaner steers £1 10s to £2 ss, unlxed weaners 34s fid to 37s 6d, weaner .Terdey bulls £5 7s 6d, 20month empty heifers £5 3s to £5 12s, 20month steers up to £4 17s 6d, 2%-vear do. £6 7s 6d, store and forward cows £6 7s 6d to £8 10s, 2 to 2M.-yenr Jersey in-calf heifers £l2 5s to £ls 10s, mixed 2-year In-calf heifers £7 5s to £lO, springing heifers to £l3, dairy cows to £ls Ids.

At Kaponga on 7th Inst., a good yarding of cattle was readily disposed of at late rates. A few pens of sheep also found ready buyers. Lambs 12s 6d to 15s 6d, store and forward cows £8 4s, £7 to £9, 20-month empty heifers £5 6s, in-calf heifers £lO 17s Od to £l2 10s, dairy cows £l4 10s, weaner heifers £3 15s, poorer sorts 30s to £2 ss, mixed weaners £2 to £2 10s.

At Rahotu on the same day I report a good entry of cattle, most of which sold. Werner heifers £2 5s 6d to £2 12s, steers £2, mljed weaners £2 Is, small 18-month heifers. £3 12s 6d, store and forward cows £6 10s,' £7 12s 6d to £9 Bs, small 20-montlUn-calf heifers £6 Bs. very choice 2-year Jersey do. £2O ss, springing heifers to £lB, heifers (calved) £lO 10s.

At Tlkorangl o» 6th Inst., I conducted a clearing sale on account of Mr. S. Alleman. Buyers attended in large numbers and a most satisfactory sale resulted. Prices realised for tho live stock are as follows: Dairy cows £2O, 2%-year in-calf Jersey heifer £l9 103, 20-imonth empty heifers £0 17s 6d, small 20-month steers £4 2s Od, 4-year bullocks £l2 15s, farm horses up' to £3O 10s. . LONDON WOOL SALES. Dalgefcy and Company report having received the following cablegram from their London olßco tinder date of 7th Inst:— "IVool sales closed with less spirit, and prices were rather lower. As compared with last, sale's closing rates super combing merino Is 5 per cent, to 10 per cent, lower. Good combing merino 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, lower; averag merino 15 per cent, to 20 per cent, lower; faulty merino 15 per cent to 20 per cent, lower; good fine crossbred wools 10 per cent, lower; average and faulty fine crossbred wools 15 per cent, lower; medium and coarse crossbred wools 10 to 15 per cent, lower. Withdrawals of medium and coarse crorabred wools were fairly heavy. French buyers are operating cautiously, and American buyers are operating very little."
