COLLISION WITH TRAIN.
DEATH OP A PARMER. By Telegraph.—Press Association, r, Christchu ' , ch 1 Last Night. George Richard Wise, untnarried, 45, a farmer residing at Upper Pendalton, wail killed at the Hornby railway crossing today. He was driving a spring dray loaded with potatoes towards the railway station, and apparently drove straight into an approaching train, striking the seventh waggon from the engine. Both the man and the horse were killed instantly. •
