Butter.—Average price English lnitter is 3s 4d per ll>. It is reported that the Food Ministry has made a contract with Denmark for April and May supplies of butter at £l3 10s per cwt., c.l.f. Ilcmp.—Manila market quiet, and small business doing. Prices have declined. "J" grade, Jninuary-Ma.ieh shipment, quoted £08; Febru-ary-Apriil" to May-July shipments, £67. New Zealand market is inactive, and prices lower. Present quotations are: High points, spot, £CO; February-April shipment, £">s; fair, spot, £SO; February-April shipment, £53 sellers.

Other descriptions 10 per cent, to 115 per cent, below closing rates last series. Crossbreds, now lo per cent, to l"i per cent, lower, according to quality. Current value New Zealand fine crossbreds 2s lOd to 3s (>d; medium, 2s to 2s 7(1: coarse. Is 3d to Is Bd. Honey—Market, quiet, with no better demand for New Zealand. Quotations nominal but brokers expect better demand soon on account of sugar situation.
