SHOCKING ACCIDENT.

MAN CAUGHT IN MACHINERY. By Telegraph.—Pres3 Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. A shocking accident occurred at the Dannevirke Woodware Company's factory. William James Wiseman, married, was adjusting a belt in the box-making room, when his clothes became entangled in the belting, and he was carried up to an overhead shaft close to the ceiling and whirled round and round. The shafting had to be reversed one and a half times before the body could be released, and the unfortunate man's clothing was stripped to the waist. Wiseman was in a very critical condition when removeu to the Dannevirke Hospital. The extent of his injuries have not yet been ascertained.
