GREECE TAKES GALLIPOLI. INDEPENDENCE OF ARMENIA,. By Telegraph.—Fress Assn.—Copyright. Received May 11, 2.25 p.m. Paris, May 10. Le Journal says the Turkish Treaty provides, apart from decisions already announced, for the restriction of Turkish territory in Europe to the extreme point of the peninsula on which Constantinople is situated. The remainder of European Turkey, including Gallipoli, will be handed over to the Greeks. Armenia, comprising the provinces of Van Moukh and Bitlis, and part of the province of Erzeruin, has been granted complete independence, with a sea outlet at Batoum, which will be internationalised. ' The Turks will be allowed an army of 50,000. In regard to spheres of influence, France secures Cilicia, Italy the vilayets of Konia and Adalia, and a large part of the coalfields at Hirakleu. The custody of holy places is entrusted to a British Commission under the League of Nations. The League will also protect minorities. —Reuter Service.
