Berlin, May S. Herr Wirts (Imperial Finance Minister), in a speech at Dresden, said the Germans wore Willing to go to Spa in order to convince the Entente that European solidarity is as essential for the future prosperity of the Entente as of Germany, but if they were only invited to learn that the Entente had already decided, then the Germans would refuse to attend.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [The Allies had arranged to meet the representatives of the German Government at Spa this month to fix the amounts to be paid by Germany as reparation for war damage.]
