The consumers Council recommends tie creation of tlie Ministry of Food at a permanent department, with power to control exports and imports of rood and raw material, and thus secure international co-operation in purchasing and rationing. It further recommends that the Board of Trade should cease dealing in foodstuffs, and that the Ministry should absorb the wheat, and sugar commissions, and should control shiptinj freight on food material. —Aus.If.Z- Cable Assn.
