ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY'S ALICE BRADY IN "MARIE, LTD." "Marie Ltd.." Alice Brady's latest select picture which is being' shown at Everybody s Theatre 111U afternoon and to-night, is one of the best pictures she nas ever made. JVliss Brady is cast in a role for which alie is well fitted, and gives nn admirable characterisation of a beautiful young saleswoman in a fashionable milliner's shop in New York. The story is breezy and fascinating, with plenty of heart interest, and canmt fail to appeal to all classes. A delightful supporting programme i 9 also being shown.

COMING MONDAY. CLARA KIMBALL YOUNG. This popular emotional actress stars on Monday and Tuesday in a new "Select ' super-feature "The Road Through the Park." THE PEOPLE'S. HARRY MOREY IN 'SILENT STRENGTH." Harry Morey will be seen on the screen of the People's Theatre to-day in "Silent Strength," a feature in which he assumes a dual role. This is said to bo one of the strongest of such stories to be. oflered a male star to ponrtray, for in its various unusual twists and situations dramatic crises of great power are developed. Mr. Morey appears as cousins, I)an La Roche a man of nature in love with the forests in which he has made his home, and also as Henry Crazier, a financier of the great city who stoops to foul means to achieve his ends. How the fates of these two men cross and how Ruth Madison, a woman loved by Dan, plays a peculiar role in the working out of their destinies, forms a photoplay of an unusually powerful nature. The bill include? gazettes and comedy, and the matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m.

THE ENGLISH PIERROTS. The thoroughly entertaining musical combination, the Engliish Pierrots, m>v appearing at the Umpire Theatre, presented a change of programme last night, and the bright budget of song and humor was enjoyed by a large audience. The entertainment is on the lines of that provided by similar combinations which have visited New Plymouth—bright, clean, and refined—'but several novelties are introduced, and there is a distinct freshness about every item. The singing is of a high standard throughout, and all classes of song are dealt with, while the comedians provide many merry interludes The ladies' orchestra is an excellent combination, which greatly enhances the company. To-night the final performance of tin New Plymouth season will be given, when another complete change of programme will be made.
