JAPAN OPENS RELATIONS. By Telegraph.—Pre.ir Assr. —Copyrlnfit. Berlin, May t. The Tngeblatt had an interview with a member of the Japanese Mission, which is _ visiting Berlin. He declared that opinion in Japan was favorable towards Germany. Japanese commercial and industrial*circles intended to resume economic relations as soon as possible. The Nippon Yusen Kaisha had already established a branch at. Hamburg anil would send a monthly steamer from Yokohama. Four other' Japanese firms had established branches in Germany. Japan would soon be able to supply large quantities of copper and silk in exchange for chemicals. Japan, however, did not intend to give large credits.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
