Interviewed by the Australian Press Association he said he had no further Communication from the Storey Government, and he was unable to understand the cancellation of his appointment. He bad no wish to say anything which would advertise New South Wales as a touhtry which did not respect contracts, but so far as he knew there was no precedent anywhere for snch treatment. Questioned whether he contemplated attlori against the Government, he said he believed the latter had the right to plead that the King had the right to break a contract, whatever its character. Such right wag rarely, if ever, exercised; certainly never in connection with such an appointment as hie.—Ails.K.Z. Cable Assn.

[Mr. Hall was appointed to London bgr the New South Wales Government When Mr. Holman was Premier.
