VALUE OF INOCULATION. By Telegraph .—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received May ?>, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, May 3. A report of the Public Health Department on last year's influenza W)idemic shows the percentage of deaths of those attacked to be 1.3. Early treatment and confinement to bed and absolute rest provided the most potent factor in combating the disease. Amongst the preventive measure:- inoculation was the most valuable, and mitigated progress to a large extent. Amongst those inoculated three times the mortality at the hospital was just one half that of those who were nor. inoculated. Thosb inoculated once or twice benefited, but not to the same oxtent.— Aus.-X.Z. Cable Afisn.
