Many ITawera residents (states the Pt.iv) will regret to hoar of tlie death at Vancouver, on Ist March, of Mr. Kidney fireet, well known as proprietor of Somerset House. The deceased removed to Auckland about two years ago, and was on a holiday trip to America at the time of death. 110 was of a- cheerful, bright disposition and made many friends. Much sympathy will be felt for his widow and three children.
