WEDDING.

BAY—PHILLIPS. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. John's Church, Otakeho, on Wednesday, April 7th., when Mr. Thomas Francis, eldest, eon of Mrs. and the late Mr. Frank Day, of Kaupokonul, was married to Mfes Thelma Myrtle, eldest daughter of Mr. and Airs. Alf. Phillips, of Kaupokomil, tho Rev. Stuart Ogden offlciatinc. The bride, who wa3 given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of morv silk, with an overdress of georgette trimmed with silver thread and opal trimming. She wore the orthodox wreath and veil, and carried a showei bouquet of white carnations, hollyhock, and maiden hair fern. Two bridesmaids. Miss Grace and Annette Phillips, wore frocks of white silk with touches of pink, and their large picture hats wero trimmed with white crepe de chine, and white Tlbbon streamers. They carried bouquets of pale pink sweet peas, and maiden-hair fern, and wore gold pendants, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Henry Bashford, uncle of tho bride, was best man. The church was beautifully decorated by the bride's friends, showing the esteem in which she was hold. - Mrs. P. Hammond, of Manaia, presided at the organ. After the ceremony about thirty guests attended the. wedding breakfast, whidi was held In tho Otakeho Hall. The wedding cake was made by the bride's mother, and decorated by Mrs. W*. Hill, of Manaia. Mr. and Mrs. Day were the recipients of many handsomo and useful presents, including a bible to the bride from her fellow teachers of the Otakeho Union Sunday School. !
