The wholesale maximum price of imported mutton remains unaltered at 9d, but the cancellation of fixed retail prices means the virtual decontrol of both the wholesale and retail trade. If the Government intends to cut the losses thoy must release large quantities from storage, thereby abolishing the glut.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
