Mr. Hall's appointment as AgentGeneral (which the Government has suddenly terminated) was made on the eve pf the .elections, and was for five years. He has not yet reached London. An official statement regarding the cancellation says:.ln view of the grave financial difficulties with which the State is confronted, it is necessary to secure the very best available talent to do financial and other work for the Government in England, and the cancellation of Mr. Hall's appointment is in accordance with the publicly declared policy of the Labor Party in the election campaign.—Aus.-NZ.
