GIRLS' HOSTEL.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—There seems to be some doubt In the minds of the people of New Plymouth as to whether the proceeds of the entertainments given last week, and of the mart to be hehi on Saturday next- are both intended to aid ono and the same fund, or two different funds, namely, "The G.F.'S. Hostel," or "New Plymouth Girls' Hostol," as both these names appear In the newspapers. Will you, if possible, kindly enlighten the public upon this matter.—l am, etc., INTERESTED. [The proceeds of last week's entertainments wero handed over to the Girls' Friendly Society, but the proceeds from next Saturday's mart will go direct, to the Mayoress arid her Committee for Ihe purposes of the new hostel scheme. The purposo for which money is being raised is identical, as both committees arc acting in unison, and the Mayoress has been requested by the G.K.B. to lake over the whole scheme, a. course which will prevent any misapprehension as to the destination of the funds, and should stimulate liberal contributions.—Ed.]
