OIL STORES STRIKE.
TEMPORARILY SETTLED, By Teletraph —Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. •The trouble which developed At the oil stores on Tuesday has been settled temporarily, the men resuming work <m the understanding that they are to be p#id 2s 3d an hour, an increase of 3d. The oil importing firms are considering the position in the meantime with a view to arriving at a final settlement. When the dispute arose the waterside workers, in sympathy with the men in the stores, refused to handle benzine, but on being informed that the difficulty had been overcome they resumed work. j
