DEARER COAL.
RETAIL PRICES INCREASED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christcluirch. Last NightA retail rise on all classes of coal is shortly to be announced. The Board of Trade, through the Prices Investigation Tribunal, has considered a proposition from the Canterbury Coal Dealers and Merchants Association that dealers be allowed to increase prices apart from the recent wholesale rises, in the direction of allowing them a greater margin of working expenses. It is understood tiie tribunal, after taking evidence, has consented to a certain increase. It has fixed what it considers a. fair margin of profit foi handling and delivery expenses.
