THE TIMARU DISTURBANCE. Timaru, Last Night. Chinese estimate that the damage done at three fruit shops is valued at. about £2OO, besides which £3(> was stolen from n cash register. The principal shop manager here of the three shops is an American university man, who has been engaged as a journalist in Chicago. His two brothers were with the American Armv and were killed in the war. He enlisted in New Zealand, ijut was rejected.
