HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW POSTPONED. The committee of the above Society met on Thursday evening to make final arrangements in connection with the forthcoming Chrysanthemum Show. The date of this show had originally been fixed for Thursday, 22nd April, but as the season had bpen a lute one some doubt was felt as to whether the main crop of blooms would be ready in time for the show. The - committee consulted some of the principal growers in and around Xew Plymouth, who were all strongly of the opinion that the show should be postponed for at. least a week. The committee considered the matter very fully, and ultimately euir.e to the decision (o hold the show on Thursday, April 2Htli. Entries will therefore close on Monday, the 2(ith April, instead of Monday the liltli, as previously arranged. The show will be held in the Whitelev Hall, and as there is promise of a particularly fine display, it. is hoped that there will be a gqod attendance 01 the public. Schedules may be obtained on application to the secretary, Mr. V. Duff.
