Mrs. Sewell (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. Larsen (Hawke's Buy), Mr. and Mrs. Heskcth (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. Lampard (Palmerston North), and Mr. and- Mrs. Gilmour (Auckland). • ♦ » • A very jolly little dance was held at Kawaroa Park bungalow last evening, being arranged by a committee of girls, viz., Misses Baily, Bullard. Bradbury, Kollo, Winfield and Whitton. The proceed? are to be given to buy sweets for the stall on the Mart Day for the Girls' Hostel. . The hall was beautifully decorated with hydrangea and the supper table with crimson cosmcas and Michaelmas daisy. The cliaperones were: Mesdames Robertson, Denny-Brown. Kiteherbert, Chaney. G. Fraser and 80110.
MART DAY FOR GIRLS' HOSTEL. There are great preparations afoot for Mart Day in aid of the New Plymouth Girls' Hostel, to lie held in Devon Street on April 24th. Mesdames Orbell, Neil, and tile Misses Curtis and Godfrey arc to be in charge of the tlower stall. The cake stall will be presided over by Mesdames Roekel, .Darcy Robertson, and MacDiarmid. The sweet stall will lie run by Misses Bradbury, Billiard, Bailv, Rollo, Whitton, Wi'nfiehl, and. Clothier, and Mrs. Hetherington and Miss Pratt will be in charge of the jumble stall. The need for a girls' hostel is obvious, aud support from the public is hoped for in collecting the necessary funds.
. WEDDING BELLS ROBINSON—SULLIVAN. A very pretty wedding took place at the Ivorito Methodist Church on Thursday, March 25, 1920, the contracting parties being Miss Isabella Sullivan, and Mr. Frederick Alfred Robinson, both of Auckland. The Rev. H. L. Richards officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law (Mr .P. Olson), looked charming in a cream gabadine costume, and hat to match. She carried a cream-covered Bible with streamers. She was attended by her little niece (Miss ICileen Olson), who wore a pretty soft white dress and white hnt with pink streamers, and carried a basket of white flowers. Mr. Jack Morton, of Egmont Village, acted as best man. After the ceremony a large number of guests gathered at the residence of the bride's sister (Mrs. P. Olson), where a dainty afternoon tea was partaken gf. after which the happy couple left foi" Hawera and Wanganui, where the honeymoon was to be spent, the bride travelling in a brown tailormade costume.
