MONTHLY RETURNS. The returns in connection with the New Plymouth tramways system, prepared by. the tramway engineer and man.'iffer, show that for the month ending March 31, 158,13s passengers were, carried on the main route, the fares amounting to £H2'> lis 4d. On the Morley Street route 115.200 passengers were carried and the revenue amounted to £S'I lis Id. For the combined routes therefore the total number of passengers was 174,-KM and (lie revenue .ti13(19 (Is fid, increases of "O.THS in the number of passengers and of £274 -Is 4d in revenue compared with tbe corresponding period of last year. Tbe electric bus carried 45.11 passengers on the Westown route. 3(120 on the Vogeltown route, and 373 on the Frankley Road route, making a total' of 8244. The revenue amounted to £99 13s lid-
