MARRIED WOMAN'S SUICIDE. By Telejraph.—Press Association. Gishorne, Last Night A widow named Mrs. Winter Hamov. committed suicide by strangling herself to-day. She had been indisposed for some time with a gastric complaint and was nu inmate of a private institution The deceased appeared in good spirit? after dinner, hut when the nurse returned she found thp woman had secured a strap and had hanged herself to the bed. She leaves two young sons. TRAMWAY ACCIDENT.
Christehurch, Last Night. A liend-on collision between two tramcars occurred on the Riccarton Road to night, as a result of which Motorman James Thomson had a leg broken nnd the cars concerned were badly damaged. No passengers wore hurt.
