THE OHURA COAL.
A FAVORABLE REPORT. (From Our Own Correspondent.) April lfi. With the object of witnessing a test of the Oliura coal, a number of Stratford's business men, including the Mayor (Mr. .1. \V\ McMillan), yesterday visited the Stratford .Dairy Kaciory, which hail received a supply of the coal. The manager of the dairy factory (Mr. P. J. McDonald) expressed to tlie \ i.- ilors his satisfaction with the test of the coal, so far as it had gone. It appeared to suit the requirements of the hotter furnaces, and was both clean and economical. Experiments of the coal for household purposes will be made in due course. jMr. S. E. Meredith, of Olmra, who is taking an active interest in the development of the coal deposits, stated today that, lie had been informed that a party of directors of Taraiuiki dairy factories proposed visiting Oliura for the purpose of inspecting tlie coal areas, and would be leaving for Oliura early next week.
