At Monday night's meeting of the Stratford Borough Council. Cr. C. .Tackson referred to the fact that old newspapers from the Library were being sold to butchers for the purpo>e of wrapping up meai, and suggested that something should be done to atop such a filthy ■practice. The newspapers were handled by hundreds of people, and collected dirt and. disease, and it was disgusting that they should be used by butchers.
