A deHi fin hit a pavilion to be erected near the northern end of the oval in Pukelaira Park wan approved. The Prince and hid entourage will be practically the only per.ioM admitted to the pavilion, Seats will lie provided on the oval, and about 200 are to be reserved for the mothers of deceased Koldiers. Ticket* for admi/wion to these seats will bo obtainable at a time and place to be advertineii later. A suggestion Ims been made that the choirs of the. town should be combined for the occasion for the purpose of singin" "God I'less the Prince of Wales," and perhaps the refrain of "Land of Hope and <!lory,'' and it is understood an effort is to be made to call the conductors together immediately to consider the proposal. At yesterday's meeting of the Egmont County Council a letter was received from the ]SVw Plymouth Borough Council stating that when drawing up the programme in connection with the visit of the Prince of Wales arrangements had been made so that an. address could be formally presented by the Egmont County Council if they so desired. The chairman did not. think that Egmont should present an address, as it would only be lost in tho multitude of addresses. Cr. Green held that Egmont should present an address as it had been too much in the back ground in the past, and he moved that the chairman and clerk draw up an address. This was seconded pro forma by Cr- Sinclair, but was. lost. A letter was also received from the Hawera Reception Com-, mittee asking for a contribution towards entertaining the children on the date of the Prince's visit, but it was decided to reply that the Egmont County children would be visiting New Plymouth.
