NORTH TABANAKI CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. i The amiual meeling of the North Taranaki Hunt Club was held at Waitara on Saturday afternoon. Mr. A. R. Standlsh presided over an attendance of about 20 members. ANNUAL REPORT. The report of the committee.' expressed regret that the past season had not been so successful as had been anticipated, but hope was entertained that during the coming season the club would return to its former standard, both numerically and financially. Fran a hunting point of view the year had been very successful. The huntsman had the hounds In splendid fettle, and some good runs were experienced. One regrettable encroachment on prohibited country had Involved the club in heavy damages, and the committee expressed the hope that members would observe the rules in future and abstain from trespassing. Tho financial statement showed a deficit In tho assets account of £.12 7s 4d and tho actual shortage amounted to £l"9. Had It not been for a donation of £175 from the District Committee, the Hunt would have been in a very much worso position. Thanks was expressed to the farmers of the district who had allowed the club to hunt over their properties. It was stated the club was entitled to a permit for ono day's racing, and a suh-commlttee had been appointed to make the necessary arrangements. The report concluded with an expression of thanks on behalf of the commilteo for the courtesy v «nd assistance extended to them by members generally throughout their term of office. The report and balance-sheet were adopted.

It was resolved that the Stratford A. and T. .Society be communicated with asking Jhem to receive a deputation from the Hunt Club with lite idea of' fostering hunting In the Stratford district. Votes oi' thanks were passed to the T.J.C. for their domiiion towards ihe funds of the club, atid to Mr. 0. Weoster (auditor) for tho donation of his foe to the funds of tho club.
