At the annual conference of the New Zealand Coach and Motor Vehicles Trades Industrial Association of Employers at Auckland, it was decided to send a resolution to the Government, urging the importance of securing immediate supplies of Australian and New Zealand timber. The opening social of the season at the Bell Block Hall will take place on Thursday next, Bth April, when the Committee celebrate the 21st anniversary of the opening of the hall. Items will he contributed by Misses Bishop, Bennett ('>), Cocker, and Messrs Day and Hartman, and the music for the dancing will be supplied by Mrs. George's orchestra. During the evening a presentation will be made to the lion, secretary (Mr. Downs), who has held the position for a great number of years: The committee lump to have a record attendance on Thursday.
