COMBATTING BOLSHEVISM. GOVERNMENT'S POLICY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Paris, March 30. The Senate passed a vote of confidence in the Government's domestic policy, after M. Millerand had replied to a request for information in regard to the Government's attitude respecting Bolshevism. M. Millerand declared that the Government intended to enforce the law, and would prosecute those inciting soldiers to disobedience, but the Government's hands must: he strengthened, therefore he would introduce a Bill for the nationalisation of the police, the reorganisation of the gendarmerie:, and the control of the movements of foreigners in France. The police last night'made several raids on Bolshevik circles and arrested a number of the editorial staff of the Resoviet. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. STRIKES SPREADING. A REVOLUTIONARY MOVEMENT. Received April 4, 5.5 p.m. Paris, April 2. The Echo de Paris states the revolutionary movement in the Roubaix and Tourcoing districts is assuming large proportions. Syndicalists organised a revolutionary court at Belfort and secretly tried and sentenced two hundred workers. The court's decision resulted in many workers joining the strike movement.— 1 Aus.-N.Z.
